Has anyone tried the new satellite imaging function available on Google.com? The service is actually provided by the Keyhole Corporation. You can type in an address and get images with great resolution.

After taking a look at my neighborhood, I typed in an address for the Walt Disney World Resort (Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830). That got me in the vicinity... after locating a few landmarks (e.g., World Drive, Bay Lake) I was able to scroll around and look over the property. While I have seen some static satellite images, this service allows you to scroll around.... and zoom in and out with really good resolution.

This services is available for free for a 7-day trial. After that, it is available by subscription ($30.00 per month). While I probably not subscribe, I found it pretty fun to play around with... and thought some of you might also enjoy it!

The price for Keyhole is $29.95 per year not per month. It is a great service which I signed up for last year at $59.95 per Google bought them out.

Oops... sorry about that. Thanks for the correction Robfasto! I didn't pay close attention as I had no intention of subscribing. But for 29.95 per yer... that's a great service!

i looked at the keyhyole site, and area scans are not updated all that often, every few years on averge it seems. it lists the orlando area as being last updated in april 2002, so your not gonna get any of the newer stuff.

I was on that website yesterday, and I was disappointed that I could not see the country pavilions in Epcot. I was able to view Wilderness Lodge, the best resort at WDW! You can follow the lake and view Magic. It's a cool website, but I wish that it would let you zoom in even more.
