The feel of Disney isn't really there per se, but it feels so much like home! When you see the Characters in Flight balloon at DTD, it feels more like Disney!
There are Disney movie horses pictures in the lobby area. Otherwise, it's definitely a DVC resort.
They say "Welcome Home".
The rooms are spacious, and the slides at the pools are terrific!
The Paddock area where we stayed has the best slide and a kiddie area w/ a dumping bucket- so much fun!
The walk to DTD is long, but it's a very nice one along the Congress Park area, and it has great opportunities for photos.
The restaurant Turf Club Bar & Grill was fabulous! The food was delicious- I had fish, DH had steak, and the onion rings- YUMMY!
My maple custard like dessert was delicious!
The service was fabulous, and we had a great view by the window where the boats to DTD dock.
The High Rock Springs main pool area is lovely, and the kids will enjoy that slide too.
The Grandstand area has a kiddies "water spray area" for little ones.
I just loved it! My favorite resort so far. A close 2nd is Wilderness Lodge w/ 3rd place the Poly ( only because of the cost$$$$$$ and the "age" of the resort).
No problems with the buses. We were often the only ones on them! Sometimes we waited 15 minutes, but that still isn't bad.
Go. You won't regret it! Have fun!
