Saratoga/Annual Pass

Hi everyone,

I'm going to the world (finally!) from July 10-20th. Because we had to change the reservation to later in the summer, we got shut out of the Beach Club Villas and now we get to try Saratoga Springs. I'm excited about trying something new, but I have a lot of questions too.

For people who have stayed there, what are your general impressions? I've read some places that the ongoing construction really interferes with the atmosphere. Is this true? What is the cafeteria/restaurant like? Is the cinema open? Anything you can tell me is helpful.

Also, we're going to buy Annual Passes since we'll probably go in April next year. There aren't any blackout dates are there? And should we wait until we get to the park to actually buy them?

Thanks so much!

Saratoga Springs

My family stayed at Saratoga Springs last July and we absolutely enjoyed it. The classy atmosphere rivals that of the Grand Floridian. It does a good job of keeping its horse/health theme.

The construction does not really interfere with the atmosphere. The only time you notice it is when you are coming and leaving the resort. None of the hotel rooms faced the construction areas, that I noticed anyway.

It is a very short walk to Downtown Disney from the hotel, and we even found it faster than driving. The pool area is nice also. Another thing: Since the resort is not entirely open, there is not many people at the hotel. This makes for less crowded pools and busses. My family really enjoyed this. If you like the other DVC resorts, you'll love this one.
