I'm planning a dinner for my boyfriend and myself during our stay and we want to try one of the Animal Kingdom Resorts restaurants but don't know whether we should do Boma or Sanaa? We've heard great things about both restaurants and like the idea of being right on the savannah at Sanaa but Boma has so many more options to try new and exciting things!

Which restaurant do you prefer and why? Thanks in advance for your input!!

I would go with Sanaa unless you can put down a serious amount of food.

I can no longer put away plate after plate of food so I go for quality over quantity.

Since Boma is a buffet, I would stay away from there for a romantic dinner. Sanaa has great food, and would be much better suited for a romantic dinner. Have you also looked at Jiko's? That would be my first choice for a romantic dinner at AKL.

I definitely vote for Sanaa. If possible though, perhaps try Boma for breakfast and then Sanaa for dinner. Boma's Jungle Juice is awesome!

Have to mention as well that there is a fabulous signature restaurant next to Boma named Jiko. Incredible food and arguably one of the most romantic on property. I highly recommend Jiko...it's a must do every trip for my wife and I.

I love Boma, best buffet on property in my opinion. Saana is nice but the food not as tasty in my opinion and it's always really empty whenever we've been x

I happen to like Boma better, as I am a big eater. However, for a quiet, romantic dinner it has to be Sanaa.

Sanaa and Ohana are my two favorite dinners. We had an amazing dinner there. The food was outstanding and the view amazing. Definitely Sanaa!

Having eaten at Boma for breakfast and dinner, Jiko dinner, and Sanaa dinner, I would rank them as follows:
1. Sanaa
2. Boma dinner
3. Jiko (that's right, I didn't think it was that amazing)
4. Boma breakfast
For romance, I wouldn't go to any of these personally. But Sanaa had the best food flavors- I recommend the slow cooked entree, specifically the lamb curry. It was to die for!

Romantic meal? Jiko. It's not THAT far away from Boma's prices.

Though all three are TheBomb.com, I like Sanaa for lunch and Boma for a big family meal.

Boma has the better food overall, unless you're particularly fond of Indian.

Sanaa is certainly more intimate than Boma, but still not what I'd call romantic. Depending on the season it can still be rather crowded and noisy in there.

If you've never done either, I'd do Boma for dinner, then go walking on the outdoor pathways near the restaurant.

We love them both. Their atmospheres are completely different (Sanaa is quite intimate, while Boma is a little noisier). Sanaa has been our first dinner on property the last 2 trips and will be again this October. The menu is chock full of things you can't get in No. Cal. We usually do Boma as our brunch on the final day before heading to the airport. The food is excellent and there is plenty of it, so we usually don't eat until we hit Denver or even No. Cal. Sooooooooo, why not try both on your upcoming trip???

I have to agree with many of the other posters - since you are only asking which to pick for a ROMANTIC dinner I would say Sanaa over Boma. As far as whether one is better than the other, personally I like them both. But if your were to ask between the three restaurants at AKL, I would say that Jiko is the most romantic of the three (albeit double the price of Sanaa). Whichever one you choose, I am sure you will have a fabulous experience!
