I'm working on planning a trip to California. For those of you that have been to both of the zoos, is it better to go to one each day or should we just go to the actual zoo 2 days? I'll have an infant and 6 year old with me.

Never been, but we are starting to plan it for next year. I know we are planning one day at each as they can not be done on same day. I could be wrong here, but I believe each zoo/park has unique exhibits and animals too, so not many repeat animals.

Also you wouldn't want to go to Disneyland for 2 days and not see any of California Adventure, right?

While you certainly could spend two full days in Disneyland without spending any time in DCA, if 2 days were all you had at DLR you'd want to hit DCA for at least part of one day.

The Safari Park was, in many ways, the inspiration for the DAK experience. It was the first un-zoo and is still a great place to visit. It focuses largely on African animals in a more natural habitat, and many of the animals can also be found at the larger San Diego Zoo. Both are definitely worth visiting.

Thanks. It's sometimes hard to get the information I want from websites. I just wanted to make sure each park was something unique and worth visiting. I will plan on one day at each (although I'm sure I could spend more time there).
