I just got this email from the San Diego Zoo:
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that beginning on June 15, and in accordance with state and local guidelines, we will be lifting most COVID-19 restrictions:

Date-specific reservations are no longer needed! If you already have a reservation, it will still be honored and there is nothing further you need to do.
Health screenings prior to guest entry will no longer be required, which will free up parking space and reduce wait times. Proof of vaccination will not be required upon entry.
Facial coverings will no longer be required on grounds. Those who are not fully vaccinated are recommended by the CDC to wear facial coverings.
Special experience tours will no longer be limited to household groups, allowing for individual pricing and greater availability.

We are going in August, so this is exciting! It’s not a theme park, so its rules are a bit different.
Actually, the rules are the same after June 15th, the only requirement for zoos and theme parks is that they recommend (not require) you are vaccinated and that they offer free face masks for anyone who wants them upon entry, at least that is what the state says for June 15th on at the moment.
