Same day tickets versus Park Hopper

Hi all...I can't seem to find an answer to my question. We are staying 4 nights in the World. We plan on doing ONE park a day not several, so we want to buy a 3 or 4 day pass, not a Park Hopper pass. I know you can do any of the parks on any day using the Park Hopper. My question is: If I am buying the single day pass can I come and go from that particular park and reenter? Another words, can we do the Magic Kingdom in the morning, leave and come back in the evening on the same one day pass or do we only get to go into the park once that day and cannot reenter unless we have a Park Hopper pass? Thanks!

Yes, it's true that you can re-enter the same park each day, BUT what if it is raining, there is a huge unexpected crowd for some reason (I have run into that before and it's no fun), there are closedowns on your park day, someone gets sick and can't make their favorite park on that park day? These are things I think of. Sometimes you just want to go to another park even if you have it scheduled. You an change your mind with park hoppers. For these reasons we always buy park hoppers. It is so freeing to go to an EMH AM park in the am, then go where we want to in the evening. This way of touring works for us. Sometimes, we go to 3 parks, just because we want to see something or missed something at a particular park but don't want to spend the day there.
If I had only 4 park days, I would definitely do park hoppers. But that's just my opinion.
Whatever you do, you are at Disney and that's all good:)

Thanks for your input. If we were staying at a Monorail Hotel I'd consider the Park Hopper. However, we are staying at the Dolphin and not doing Hollywood Studios ( don't care for it). So the only easy access park there is Epcot. The rest is bus transportation which can be gruelingly slow. So we probably would not be coming and going to all different parks. Epcot is a walk away so it's nice to know we can come and go there. In our case, if it rains then "oh well". LOL

EP is probably the best park to go to on a rainy weather day because the pavillions and their shops are so interesting to spend time in out of the rain. You also have mostly indoor attractions that arent weather affected.

Just an FYI, you can always add Park Hopper to a base ticket once you're on your trip. You just stop at Guest Relations, pay the upgrade fee and away you go. Takes about 5 minutes.

So my suggestion to those who are on the fence about Hopper is to buy base tickets and then add Hopper while on the trip if you find you need it. And if you end up not needing Hopper, you've saved yourself the money.

I've always gotten park hopper but this summer we're doing just a base ticket and I'm kind of happy about it. My decision is already made up for me. No trying to decide which park we should go to in the adfternoon. No one's getting upset because we're going to this park and not that park. Yep, i'm happy, but that could be because i'm going to Disney sooner than I thought.
