Runoff Rapids Refurb?

Noticed today that Runoff Rapids is marked as closed for refurb? (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_GB/attractions/blizzard-beach/runoff-rapids/)

Hadn't seen anything posted about this and Blizzard Beach is due to go down for it's annual refurb at the end of October anyway. Any idea if this is due to Irma? If so will it be fixed or will they leave it until the annual refurb?

They were closed post-refurb earlier this year as well.

This tells me that the seasonal water park refurbs are really just an excuse to close, and that there must be some serious issues with those slides in particular.
