In a week or two Disney is planing to have the Bus stop coming out but continue to have the characters do meet and greets. Take this as a Rumor as it is not yet set in stone.

Why would they do that for? How will the characters travel that far, for where they need to go?
from the sounds of it it is because of guest complaints that they are out there for only 10 minutes when they have to get back on the bus. I would imagine that they plan to have the meet and greets like at the MK in Town Square but only it being infront of Space Ship Earth.

The only times I've see the characters come off a bus for a "meet and greet" was when Disney did away with the early entry program (Now extra magic hours). That was when Disney had special VIP type busses transport the characters to the Resorts, and also during the time EPCOT first opens in the morning when the characters make the rounds in a double decker bus in the Future World area.
Which one of these do you mean? Or is there something that I missed.
