I heard that Johnny Depp will be starring as Jack in the film Pirates of the Carribean...pretty cool stuff, love Depp as an actor!!

But still, the news that this movie is about pirates, and pirates in the right time period won't let me get angry. I'm glad that whole tourist thing was probably wrong!

I think it will be cool, but I just wish they would start making original movie ideas. I mean doesn't seem kinda cheap that there just reusing Ideas? I wish they could find some more fanciful story (like Cinderella, Snow White, ect.) and make them into movies not there own rides.

Well, as was the case with The Country Bears, these are comlpletely original stories, it just so happens they have the same names as well known disney attractions. Pirates of the Carribean is an original pirates story, it's just got the same name as the Disney Pirates ride.

I mean, a pirates movie with a good story that is called "Pirates of the Carribean" will probably perform better in the box office than a pirates movie with a good story but a unkown title.

Treasure Planet looks like it is going to be great.
Johnny Depp in a Disney movie though sounds pretty interesting though too. I think it sounds ALOT better when you through him into the cast.
