I want to preface this by saying that I love Disney. I go at least two or three times a year, and I sincerely believe that Disney attractions, when executed correctly, can be elevated to an art form. Anyone who has experienced Pirates of the Carribbean, Splash Mountain, or Tower of Terror can attest to this fact. The bottom line, however, is that the past 7-10 years has been tough on the mouse. Under the increasingly aloof leadership of the Eisner/Pressler regime attraction quality has gone markedly down as budgets have been increasingly slashed. Disney has just built two dreadful theme parks, California Adventure and Disney Studios Paris, while in Japan Oriental Land Company has had the foresight and vision to fund what is arguably the best Disney park in the world, with their own money of course. On this site I hear a lot about the future of WDW, about monorail expansions and 200 million dollar budgeted Beastly Kingdoms and Australia expansions for Animal Kingdom, as well as how great Mission:Space is going to be, and that very well might prove to be true, but I think it would be prudent at this point to make an assessment of the people in charge at this moment, and consider
who is really making the decisions. This is just my opinion.
