Rope drop question...

I believe the pre-show with Mickey and his friends arriving by train starts around 8:45 - 8:50. I would recommend being there by around 8:30 based on past experience, earlier if you want to be near the front of the rope drop line. It's been 3 years since we've been to WDW so if anyone knows of a different opening please let us know.

For MK they start really early so its not a question of the first bus. It's just making sure there is room to get on and if you miss one you might have 15-20 minutes before the next one. Over the last few trips, with the parks getting busier and busier, we have found the lines for the bus first thing in the morning can be a little longer that they used to be.

I would almost get there an hour ahead of time to get a good position to see the "Welcome" show and snap some good pictures or a video. So... if park opens at 9, try to get there before 8. It's worth waiting for at least once, and hey... you never know when you might get picked for the special family to open the park!:D
