Room Upgrades

Hello all :)

I'm travelling to WDW in 10 days time from here in the UK. We're staying at the GF for 14 nights, with a reservation for a garden view room.

I'd heard that occasionally people have received upgrades upon check in, and although I know it most likely won't happen, especially at this time of year, I wondered if anyone had any tips to try?

It's my 21st Birthday during the vacation and also my friend has just graduated university (who I'm visiting with) - so a double celebration! :sohappy:

Also - can anyone also suggest any good birthday or celebration related activites, that won't cost a fortune?

Thanks a lot! :)

Not too many free upgrades are offered anymore, BUT make sure when you check in your casual conversation includes how you have come from the UK to spend your 21 birthday & your friends university graduation at WDW...you just may be surprised with a free upgrade or at least some goodies in your room during your stay.
You can always request one, but be prepared to pay for it if one is available (which at this time of year may not be likely).

Make sure you get a birthday button form Guest relations and wear that on your birthday as you may get a few goodies in the parks & restaurants as well.
