Room Request

I have a stay coming up at the Beach Club (Garden or Woods View room). Should I request anything specific if I want a room close to the pool? I don't need to be close to transportation since it's just a one night stay before a cruise. Thanks!

touring plans has room "designs" and pictures. You can look at them, but I would suggest calling and making a request that way. You are able to request a specific room number when you look at touring plans resort rooms. I would still call though. I paid extra $$$ for touring plans to fax Disney my room request, and Disney said they never received a fax.

Disney rarely grants specific room number requests. It is better to request "near elevator" "near transportation" or "near pool" ~ that way, the room assigners have a larger number of rooms to work with. With differing check in/check out dates and the need to sometimes shuffle guests around, getting the EXACT room you requested is like winning the lottery! Also, faxed room requests gain you nothing as @bethymouse experienced.

@MotherofaPrincessLover, Beach Club has two pools ~ Stormalong Bay and a quiet pool. You should call Disney to have them note on your reservation which pool you would like to be near.
