During online check in for wilderness lodge what are the requests you're able to make (like ground floor, upper floor etc.)? Haven't stayed there since the very beginning of the current construction and we just took what room they gave us without any requests. We're going during Spring break (starting March 17th) so we'll be using the pool etc... We like being close to the food court and not walking a mile to the pool. View doesn't really matter so much otherwise. Any suggestions?

I felt like our location was great..I wanted to be close to the lobby. Half of it is closed right now so there is only one side that you can end up on.

I requested "upper floor". We were close to an elevator and stairs, facing the lake.. and although there was a construction site right below us..we couldn't see it at all while sitting on the balcony.

I left 2 of our bathing suits, 2 pairs of sweatpants, and two sweatshirts there..could you retrieve them for me please? ;)

There is a great feature in touringplans.com where you can view the scenery for a particular room. Just pick the hotel, room type you requested and floor level and you can see 180 degree photos out the doors, balcony, etc. Fourteen days before your trip they will send a fax request for you based on the type of rooms you saved.
We did this for a trip in September and we got the rooms very close to what I wanted.

Have fun planning

Keep in mind that courtyard view is a different category of room in re price from other room views, so unless you actually paid for courtyard view, you won't be able to see the pool from your room, but might get a peaceful view anyway and save some $$$. But if view is unimportant to you, I would keep the request as simple as possible; like "as near as possible to pool and Roaring Forks." You might even go so far as to request north wing, since the food court is in that wing and that wing is equidistant from the pool as the south wing. As far as the rooms go, the pool and food court are very close to each other.

We request North side and upper floor to get a view of MK over the trees. Depending on how far you are from the elevators, you might also get a good view of the water parade.
