Room Discount through CM

I have a question about booking a room discount through a castmember. I was going to try and book a room with a castmember discount ( my aunt is a seasonal employee). I also want to add on the MYW plus dining tickets. I am well aware that I won't get a discount on the tickets but she was told that I can do the room discount only and can't add the tickets, even at the normal price. Can anyone verify if that is right? I am thinking that she might not understand what I am trying to do.

Plus Dining isn't actually a ticket. It's a ticket - which makes it a room package - "plus" a dining plan. The dining plan requires you to buy a ticke tto purchase it, but it's not a form of ticket, it's part of a package. Like an add-on.

CM discounts are for "room only" reservations. No tickets, no dining plans. If you try to get a package, you can't get the discount.

Your aunt can go buy you tickets from her place-of-work for a cheaper price though, then through the gate, however she can't get you the dining plan for any discount. You have to book a regular rack-rate room and then add the dining plan (which requires a ticket purchase with that transaction.)

So.. simplified...

Cm Room + (Ticket + Dining) = No

Cm Room = Yes

Cm Room + Cm-Store Tickets (they're discounted a little) = Yes

Rack Room + Ticket (no discount) + Dining = Yes

Rack Room + Dining (no ticket purchased) = No

what you would be getting is a 40% off "friends and family" rate if your aunt will not be joining you in the room (a little tip, make sure she faxes her WDW ID into the resort ahead of time or you will be in trouble) and I can verify that you cannot add tickets or dining plan onto it. However she can purchase tickets for you at Company D (the WDW cast store) at a 10% discount. Thhe Disney Dining plan is not available to any cast members or thier friends/family's at any discount at this time.

Thanks!! Dang I miss out on free dining and now I can't do the other that I wanted. Guess I will have to wait to see if they extend the dining or offer room discounts at the time.
