Hi All!! Well my much awaited DW Honeymoon is coming - but not fast enough :( (oct 18-25). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on a place to have a nice romantic diner? I'm racking my brain over so many options, that I figure you guys could help with some suggestions. V and A's is kinda out because we are going on the gold plan, and it's not one of our options. Has anyone had a romantic diner somewhere that they want to suggest? Any ideas will be wonderful, Thanx

My husband and I went on our honeymoon a few years ago and ate at Epcot's Mexico(San Angel Inn). We loved it so much we make it a tradition every year to have at least one meal there. Ask for a seat by El Rio Del Tiempo so that you can get the true perspective of being actually in that location. It is nice and dark in there and you eat by candlelight. I highly recommend it. ;)

What about the California Grill?

Actually, my husband and I had dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table on our honeymoon and that was pretty romantic.

Us too. Only Sept. 27 through Oct 5.
If it helps Our choices are:
Brown Derby for lunch
Califorina Grill for dinner (this one is tradition)

Les Chefs de France (lunch)
Citrcos (Dinner)

Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch)
Cinderella's Castle (Dinner)

Garden Grill (Lunch also tradition)
Living Seas (Dinner also tradition)

Whispering Caynon (lunch)
House of Blues (only place in downtown we have not been)

Le Cellier (lunch)
Alfredos ( Dinner)

Big River Grill (something new - never really been to the Boardwalk before)
Liberty Tree Taven (Dinner menu sounded too good to miss)

As you can see we never eat fast food in Disney. (Vacation is the only time I get to eat like I would like to (Soon to be hubby has a weak stomach, and really likes plain food.) Last time we were also on the goldplan and I managed to get lobster 3 times in one week!!! :slurp:

Congratulations, and have a great trip

I'm full just listening to that!

Add Narcossee's, Marrakesh, and Jiko, and you have the best list of Disney restraunts right here.

For me, I thought eating at Cinderella's Royal Table was the most romantic. Being an obsessed Disney fan, I can't think of anything more romantic than eating with the person you love in the castle. We got a table at the window as the sky was turning that evening shade of purple. If you're not a fan of the castle, try the California Grill. It has a much more adult atmosphere with excellent food. Try to get PS during Wishes and enjoy your dinner while watching the fireworks. Enjoy!

Another suggestion

Is everyone forgetting Bistro de Paris, the smaller French restaurant located upstairs from Chefs de France in Epcot? You get there by going past Chefs toward the pastry shop - it has a separate entrance.

Since it's smaller, it's slower paced, has its own kitchen and is more romantic than other larger restaurants. Plus, the prices are not outrageous.

It is, in my opinion, a hidden "gem" and quite romantic. Try it!

P.S. Artist's Point at Wilderness Lodge and Flying Fish at The Boardwalk are also great spots.

I have to agree whole-heartedly about the Bistro at France (it's upstairs from the larger restaurant). My DH and I have eaten there, and it has been a real delight. One time that we were there, we had dinner during Illuminations- our table was next to the window so we were able to watch the show from our table. Tres romantique! It's is a smaller restaurant, and it is definitely much slower of a pace than the other larger restaurants.

I would also recommend California Grill (during Wishes) or Spoodles- my DH and I think of it as a Mediterranean-rustic romantic dining experience.

Then again, there's LeCellier, too!

So many choices... so little time... have a great time! I would think that you could have a nice romantic dinner at just about any of the sit-down restaurants and at the resorts. Have a WONDERFUL honeymoon! :) :)

I think San Angel would be a good lunch but a great romantic meal is definitely California Grill. I went for my anniversary last October on the gold plan and for the money I thought it was great. Make sure though that you go on a night that they do fireworks (aka a somewhat late dinner). Sometimes in October when the MNSSHP is going on, the fireworks are different with no music pumped into the restaurant.

Thanks so much  ! You guys are so great with all of your ideas! I'm making a list of all of your suggestions so I can run them by my soon-to-be Hubby. I especially like the ideas about San Angel Inn, The California Grill, the Bistro de Paris, and Cinderella's Royal Table :slurp: . I don't know too much about Citricos, but knowing its in GF, it must be pretty good. My fiancee has never eaten in the castle before, so I think that would be pretty memorable, especially during the fireworks.
Thank you guys, once again, for all your help :)
