We just got everything together for our honeymoon!!!:sohappy: :sohappy:
Thank yous to all of you who posted replies to my thread about which hotel to choose- we decided to go with the Animal Kingdom. It seems more secluded and dark :) which fits my personality. My question now is where are some good romantic restaurants to eat? Any suggestions on other cute things I could do for him while we're out there AKA mickey ears with his name on them or something. Personally stories would be great.

Thank you

Well a romantic dinner can be different depending on the people. Also remember you have to choose a food you like to eat.

I would recommend the following places...

California Grill-Located on the 15th Floor of the Contemporary this place isn't extremely romantic, but is very nice. If you can try to get a Priority Seating for fireworks time...they play the music in the restaurant.

San Angel Inn- In Mexico in Epcot this restaurant serves Mexican food in a very nice atmosphere. The place is nice a dark and the tables are overlooking the boat ride.

Victoria and Alberts- Rated one of the best restaurants in the World (not WDW...the entire planet!) this restaurant is located in the Grand Floridian. This restaurant is extremely romantic and is strictly a couples restaurant. The menu changes daily and is created by the world class chefs. Evening Wear is required (jackets for men, dresses for women). Expect to pay around 200 for dinner that night too.

Citricos- If you don't feel like Splurging for Victoria and Alberts I would say try this other Grand Floridian Eatery. Even though it is not as romantic, it will still be a very nice place to spend the night.

So here are my recommendations...If you need any more help please feel free to PM me or IM me on AIM (see profile for screen name).

Definitely Victoria and Alberts. We ate there 5 years ago and by far to this day it was one of the most romantic along with best tasting dinners we have ever had. We honeymooned in Hawaii and none of the places there even compared with V&A. It is very pricey but in our opinion well worth it. A one of a kind dining experience! Have a wonderful honeymoon!:)

San Angel Inn is one of my favorites as well. The dark atmosphere with the temple and the volcano always puts me in a Romantic mood.

Another favorite of mine would be the Hollywood Brown Derby.I love the old Hollywood feel. Not many people call the restaurant romantic, but with the piano player and the dark atmosphere it always manages to put us in a good mood.:D

I hope you like Mexican food because that is my recommendation! San Angel Inn has a very nice dark atmosphere overlookng the "river" and you can kiss and be "close to each other" without anyone noticing! I mean it! If you go to let´s say... Artist Point (not even sure if it still exists), the place is too quiet and clear, so whatever you say and do is noticed by others. So take that into consideration too! lol  :animwink:

Thank you all for the wonderful suggestions- I like Boysnc's suggestion of room service??? Just so everyone knows I was raised on Mexican food and my fi is Mexican so eating something we are familiar with sounds great. I didn't even remember there was a restaurant in Mexico. All the times I've been to DL or WDW I went with my family and my father had the strategy to not waste time eating at a restaurant that you sit down at for more than ten minutes. When I think of DL I think of eating food as we are half running to stand in line for a ride    There have been a few times I've dropped food and believe me there was no turning back!

All equal in my romantic spirit:

Coral Reef Restaurant in the Living Seas in Epcot.

California Grill in the Contemporary Resort - especially during the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.

Getting something to go and eating at one of those cute little cafe tables in France during the ROE show.
