Hi! I'm going to stay at Beach Club when I go down in 11 days, since its so close to Boardwalk, I thought it would be cool if I rollerbladed over there. Do you know if they allow it? i doubt they do in the parks, but how bout over there? Thanks

Ouch... that´s a tough one to remember :brick: I remember seeing those bikes for two or four at the Boardwalk but I´m afraid rollerblades are not allowed, for the same reason... specially at the boardwalk. At least, I think so, it would be kinda easy to get ran over by a bike or that you run over someone else, or let´s get tragic, fall into the lake! hehe:rolleyes:

I know for a fact that rollerblading is not allowed inside the living complexes for cast members, so I doubt it is allowed at the Boardwalk. ;)

I rollerblade in Fort Wilderness. Just park in the RC/FW parking lot and head in, it's a great time. You can skate down to the Meadow and Pioneer Hall. And you can skate over to the Wilderness Lodge from FW.

WDWPRINCESS03,

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BLADE AT THE BOARDWALK, HOWEVER YOU CAN TRY IT ONCE UNTIL SOMEONE STOPS YOU,
AND CLAIM IGNORANCE. AT LEAST YOU'LL HAVE TRIED.
BUT TO BACK UP LANCE,, WE'VE STAYED AT FORT W. ALOT AND THEY DO ALLOW IT, AND HAVE A DECENT AMOUNT OF SPACE TO DO IT, IF YOU WANT TO REALLY SKATE AND TAKE THE TIME TO GET OVER THERE...BUS TO TTC , MONORAIL TO CONTEMP , BOAT TO F.W. , OR JUST STAY ON THE BUS (CROCKETT I THINK). BUT EITHER WAY ITS ABOUT 45-60 MIN IF YOU DON'T DRIVE YOURSELF

I just read this on a WDW booklet. Florida state law prohibits inline skating in all parking lots or roadways. Please see a resort recreation CM for info. on appropriate skating locations.

From WDW

Skating, rollerblading, or scootering is not allowed on WDW property.

I remember seeing signs up last week saying that the above was prohibited.

I think you are allowed to Rollerblade at FW as well...you might want to call and check first though before you carry your skates down there for nothing.

I have rollerbladed at the CBR and the OKW also. No one minded. In some areas you are allowed to rollerblade. I know it is because I have done it.

Yes you also can at the FW.

no, it really isn't allowed. it's whether or not the cast enforces the policy

There used to be...but not anymore. The insurance for them to work on skates was to high. At the Sci-Fi you get waiters with shoes not skates now. When I went there for the first time in August i expected to see skates and didn't. So I'm pretty sure they are gone for good too.
