I saw Rogers The Musical at California Adventure just before it closed. I would love it come to WDW as it was brilliant, does anyone think that will happen and where would it go? Soemwhere around where GOTG is in EPCOT or DHS (instead of Beauty And The Beast:eek::eek::eek:)

Oh I didn't know that. What a shame.
Here's a little info about the East of The Mississippi contract..

It's A bit weird tho how it works via Disney Cruise line since they are allowed to be there on the boat when they do Marvel Day at Sea..I've tried finding info about it but it's vague in the contracts rules since it's being ported of Port Canaveral..Unless, they are allowed to then have the characters come out when they reach international waters??

Maybe it’s because the ships are registered in Nassau so would be under Bahamian law?

The article notes that Disney Springs isn’t classed as a theme park. Does this mean they could build a theatre there to show the musical? There was also the U2 spiderman musical in NYC

I was…. Umm “lucky” enough to see that. Kind of amazing how such a talented creative team - and talented cast - with a crazy budget could miss the mark that much haha.

The bigger question is why Rogers closed at DCA - the current management really must hate live entertainment- I don’t get it.

I presume it’s to do with theme park rights and a cruise ship isn’t a theme park

Not sure however they do have a Marvel Store and before that they could only call it this ...

And afterwards it was changed to

While it isn't in the The parks it's weird why they changed it..

Disney Springs is an interesting question that has come up a lot. Not sure why they wouldn't have done a Marvel M&G there by now if it was allowed.

It would be interesting to know how far they could go with Disney Springs and outside the parks in general. Could they do a Marvel cirque show, or a themed restaurant experience? Could you do an art of marvel style hotel makeover, maybe making pop century the art of marvel comics changing the building icons to marvel characters etc?

I’m guessing the reason why nothing more has been done is the fact that no one really knows and management don’t wantmthe risk of spending the money and los in court

Anyone remember if Avengers: Damage Control ever ran at the Void in Orlando? If so, that would really seem to set a bar as to what is allowed. (That experience was so amazing! I really wish they would find a way to bring it back! )
