So just how nauseating IS this ride? The Unofficial Guide Book seems to indicate that you should stay far away from it if you are prone to motion sickness. How does it compare to spinning rides like Mad Hatter Tea Party at WDW or Cat In the Hat at US Orlando? Can you avoid the spinning aspect?
Just want to know in advance if DH and I should send the kids on this one themselves (one teen, one tween, both of whom love spinning).

Beta Return
I am extremely prone to motion sickness, and I handled RRCS well in May. I recommend watching this ride-through video to see what it's like:

My husband get motion sickness and handled this ride okay. He holds the wheel pretty tight so it doesn't spin on its own, whether or not it works he thinks it does. He doesn't ride the tea cups anymore though but will do Roger once a trip.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'd like to experience it at least once, and it sounds like if my hubby and I hold the wheel tight (as our kids likely fight to turn it! lol), we should be able to manage ok.

I should also add that my husband (who gets motion sick) and I usually ride in separate vehicles because I really like to spin a lot. So you might want to put your kids in a separate ride vehicle.

It's actually not that bad. It's very similar to The Cat in the Hat ride over at IOA. Spinning the wheel does absolutely nothing. It spins on it's own randomly.

Keep Moving Forward
You can spin them or hold them still. I had the front car and kept it backwards the whole time to film the friends behind me. I did have to hold the wheel as it will spin a little by it's self on turns.

@raven24 can clarify this for us lol. I only rode it once, and I went on when it just reopened from technical difficulties.

That's the only ride at Disneyland where I had to evacuate. It was strange.

I believe all of the spinning that is not caused by the riders is just due to momentum. It is not programmed like with Cat in the Hat.
