((I'm about to talk about the ride)).....and I though that this is one of the best rides that I've been on. At first I really didn't know what to expect. As a media member I asked a lot of questions as to those in the PR department as to what the ride was like. They constatantly told me that it was just as intense as Space Mountain but with a Big Thunder Railroad concept. I think that's a pretty close comparison. I think the Imagineers did a great job with the track, the detail and that huge Geti. I rode it three times and would have gone on it five or eight time but as a press member I had to work. It has the best view as you're going up to the mountain. If you look to the left you can see Towe of Terror and Epcot and other Disney attractions. I rode it in the 3rd row the first time. When the train stops before going backwards, you can see an eagle off to the left of the "broken" track. Also the detail of the Geti paw/claw prints on the left was pretty good. The twist and turns going backwards were pretty intense, dare I say a bit more the Return of the Mummy. The ride then comes to a stop and while in the darkness there's a projection of the Geti ripping the track and if you pay attention you can see the track turning at the very front of the train. You gain some speed and race down the drop and start an intense spin around the mountain and then back in to see the Geti. It's fast and shaky so keep your eyes open. The ride pretty much ends after seeing the Geti. Different people may have opinions on whether the front or back end is better, I though the rear was way more intense than the front. Since you're in the back you get more of a "speed" effect that's a little more thrilling. Either way this is one happy member of the local press that highly recomends this ride. Have fun and ride it more than once.
