Everyone, I am fairly new to the group, but very excited about all the videos available. I plan to upload a few myself soon, including:

Alien Encounter
Typhoon Lagoon
Funny AK videos
Horizons

and more IF I can find them.

The most valuable that I could post here is missing though!! It was rare footage of the Rocketeer IN ACTUAL FLIGHT during the "Sorcery in the Sky" show. It was truly very amazing. I have no idea what Disney was using but, the person was defintely using some sort of propulsion pack and not on wires. I am not crazy either guys, I did see this! :D Was anyone else fortunate enough to see this back when that movie was fresh?

Well, wish me luck on my search!!

I've got decent footage of that (both Sorcery In The Sky, and the Rocketeer in flight) somewhere in my repository of old WDW stuff.

I remember watching both of these shows / events live when I was a wee kid, and I can verify that the Rocketeer did fly without wires or anything like that.

The Rocketeer used a simple jet for propulsion. I think it was some form of compressed gas. It was simple enough for free-flight, but the flight was relatively short. If I remember correctly, the Rocketeer flew in a circle one time around the garden bed where the Sorcerer's Hat stands today.

Awsome!!

Finally! Someone besides my wife, whom can verify that I am not crazy! ':)' For years I have told people about this only to have them tell me I was seeing things or 'was too stupid to notice whatever "wires" Disney was using.'

If you ever find that video, let me know and I will encode it for web use, IF that's ok with you of course! I would even pay for the price to have a copy of the tape.

Now that you have verified my sighting, somehow... I feel... righteous. ':D'
