FastPass will not be available at the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster from July 12th-17th and reopening on the 18th. The software will be updated and the new ticket stock introduced. The same will be happening at the Tower of Terror a few days later (I will get exact dates on that one soon).

There merf, I gave you dates.

*UPDATE* The Tower of Terror FastPass system will not be available July 23-25.

Here comes the long lines. But maybe they won't be as long as I think they're gonna be, because they won't have to actually load the fastpass line.

Well that kinda sucks, well actually, when I think about it, not really. Rrcr has single line now right, so there's an advantage, and without fps the lines do move more quickly. And tot, Ill stand in line for that regardless.

So is it just new software and not new machines as well?

And what exactly does the new ticket stock consist of?
The machines are not getting replaced, just a small amount of hardware to accommodate the new size of the stock. It's the same as the new stock in the DAK and MK FastPasses, just with the RnRC logo.

Actually when Test Track did this over this past week, the Standby wait did not exceed 45 minutes and the line moved very briskly. Proving once again why Fastpass should be absolished all together.

When the Splash Mountain fastpass was down a couple weeks ago we waited in standby for over an hour, moving nice and slow and sweating to death. Not much fun with a 3 and 5 year old. Later in the week when fastpass was up we used our fastpasses to walk right to the front and didn't wait at all. A much more pleasant experience.

So I guess I don't get your argument. But that's off topic anyway.

Good thing I'm getting there on the 18th! There are some rides I absolutely will not wait in the regular line for, and those are 2 I always get a fastpass for.

I completely agree. It's only logical that no fastpass means slightly less wait for people who don't use it, but for those of us smart enough to use it waiting 5-10 minutes/ride versus 45 minutes is a huge difference.

Time and time again on my trip earlier this month I saw wait times at attractions being 30-50 minutes, when on many of the same attraction you could get a fast pass for 35-45 minutes out. Saw this repeatedly at Buzz, Pooh, and Dinosaur. So...get a cold drink and relax for 45 minutes, then walk on a ride or wait in a sweaty line for 45 minutes. Hmmm... ;)
