Rock N' Roller Coaster Pre-show

As a serious rider of the RNR who normally takes the Singles Line option as my DH will not ride , I often wish that Aerosmith would work with Disney to revamp the pre-show perhaps by an alternate short film so I don't have to see the same one every time before my ride.

I love the coaster part but find the film gets repetitive when I am riding the coaster several times in a row.

What do you all think?

I think the film is fine. It's cute. It's good the first few times.

It would be nice if everything had different versions, so it was a little different now and then, but I don't hold it against them. As long as they come up with something good, I'm fine. And it's better than just standing in line, which is what we'd be doing without it. The less time spent in that dreary basement-looking area, the better.

I do wish people would remember that for someone in there, it is their first time. They want to hear it. No talking! Pipe down!

Totally agree about people being quiet during the film. The same for Soarin and Dinosaur. As for the video, I am okay with it, even though I have seen it several times.

Unless, when you get out of the pre show, there is nobody else in the Single Rider line, the show is not holding you up any. It is something to do while waiting. Are you looking for multiple pre-shows? Sort of like the Cowboy / Gangster options at GMR? I suspect that after riding multiple times, even two different pre-shows would get stale.

I love the pre-show movie. It works for me.

As is the case with movies, there is a limited amount of times one can watch them. I can do RnRC every day, but I only need to see the pre-show once per trip.

DLP has a different video - it is worth checking out on YouTube. In fact, now that I've seen this thread, I'm thinking it would be a great idea to alternate the two pre-show videos!

Yes to being quiet and polite for sure-and don't forget no pushing.

Always good ideas! :)

We need time for things to happen.
I love the RnR preshow. I'm a amature musician with a home studio in my basement so it's definitely intriguing to me.
I have to say that I love looking at the "studio" while waiting. Speaking of which,Do they change up props in there on pretty regular basis? I thought I've noticed different guitars etc from time to time.

I guess what you're saying can be said for all pre-shows. They can all get stale after you've them x-amount of times. You just have to understand that not everyone had seen it as many times as you.

And what does a "serious rider of RnR" mean?

Disney must have changed the single rider line because last time I was there, I waited in the holding room with the pre-show and then got back in the line in the next line up area in the subway area.

'Tis true that even an alternating pre-show would may get stale, if aval., but at least it would be something of a surprise to see which one I'd get to see.
PS-I love that ride it's my favorite which is why I ride it multiple times when the park opens.

it would be annoying for multiple-time riders, but how many people actually get to do that? i would be all for a few different pre-shows but its just not that necessary as most ride it once and thats it.

as a HUGE aerosmith fan i would love to see plenty of attention on the RNR, but i am satisfied as is.

That I ride it more than 3 times usually in a row and I like to be in the front row if I can.

I like the pre-show, I think it's pretty funny. Although maybe adding a few extra would be nice. But I don't want to get rid of the original. I think Aerosmith did great with the ride. But, like @luv said, people need to be more quiet.

I love the preshow. I love that Steven Tyler loses control! He uses his years of studying acting to perfectly display his craft. Kidding aside, it comes off like he's just super excited and it's fun to watch. The love the licking of the thumb! ” To the forum!” throws head back and screams!!!

One time when I rode this year the cm kept speaking over the film into his microphone. Everytime they said 'limo' he spoke over them saying 'rollercoater' in a sarcastic way. It was actually quite funny for those familliar with the film though there were some quizical looks from a few as to what and why he was doing it.
