How come people didn't tell me about the nifty mailings from WDW Reservations before? Is this new for them or have they always been sending really nifty "personalized" feeling information and such?

The embossed mouse ears were a nice touch.

Anywho.. Let's talk about the parks..

Wait, first.. Lets talk about getting into the parks. I got my first two tickets for MNSSHP and they're a different type of ticket media. They're the type that are halfway between plastic and the typical paper. They're actually the same stuff my Maingate pass is made out of. Very thin, flexible, but extremely sturdy and hold up very well. Water proof too :) I've heard rumors for a while that they were switching to these types of tickets, but now it looks as though they're doing it.

Into the parks...

Epcot. Early Morning. A small fiasco.

UoE never opened that morning. Well, it did let guests in for one show, but never got to finish it. There were 4 breakdowns in the first 2 hours of operation. Fun fun fun. There, however, weren't any big crowds for the return of EE, and so the problem mostly went by unnoticed.

This week's "Tell-a-Cast" contains a misprint that says "Test Track will be closed Thursday" for refurbishment, it was left over from a template from a few weeks ago when Test Track was scheduled to be closed. Irony: Within the first hour of operation, a vehicle on the outer front section dropped a resistor pack onto the track, under the car, dragged it, and destroyed the bus bar (thing the cars are connected to the track by) on that section of the track.

Test Track did not reopen until roughly 6pm.

Crowds were unusually high other places in the park :)

Walt Disney World is celebrating its 31st birthday this week.

Happy Birthday WDW! :sohappy:

The 31st birthday is apparently the "Bambi's butt" birthday as that is depicted on the button given to CMs. Well, it's actually the image of him looking at his tail with the butterfly on while surrounded by his friends, but the rear seems to have a bit too much attention drawn to it.

Some obscure rehab info you might be interested in: Downtown Disney's Margaritta Bar will reopen Oct. 11th, and the Rock N Roll Beach Club will be closed Oct. 17th through Nov. 7th.

That's it for now.. onward and upwards and into the Horizons...

La la la la laaaa, la la la, la la la la laaaaaa, la la la.

they may be waterproof, but they don't hold up in a washing machine and dryer....

LOL! Then they should make them like the bills... whenever I leave a bill in my pocket, it comes back clean and fresh! :animwink:

It's on the dock near the water sprite rental counter... over towards Capt'n Jack's.

But if you're looking for a margharita, better off taking a seat at the bar in Capt'n Jack's. Better beverages, outstanding view.

Ok, they cost more.
