Picture Date: September 1983

Picture Location: Future World - EPCOT Center

Subject: Follow up to last weeks picture.

Again, this picture is liable to make a few people mad, me being on of them. It is a great view of Spaceship Earth and the EPCOT Center entrance area at night well before the Leave-A-Legacy change. Sure there was a lot of waste space but the view was just great.

Robfasto,
Has anyone ever called you a stinker head? :p Man does that picture bring back a whole bunch of memories. and here is how....

When I was a little boy (the 80's), my family and I would always go to my grandmothers house in Matiland for thanksgiving and we would go to Walt Disney World for three days. (One time we went for four days and I was in heaven!!! :sohappy:
Well we would go to the Magic Kingdom from opening till 7:00 PM. Then we would hop on the monorail and rush to EPCOT Center. This is when EPCOT was opened till 9:00 PM. That means we would have around 2 hours in Future World. We would hit Spaceship Earth, Horizons and World Of Motion. Sometimes we were able to get on them twice. And no lines cause it was durning the fall and near closing time. The scence depicted in your picture was what we would see everytime we arrive to EPCOT Center. No Leave A Bunch Of Pictures in the way. No wand either!!! aHHHHH, those were the days.

You are so welcome...

That is one of the reasons that I post the pictures of the week, so those of us who did get to see these things can remember the great times they had and those whom never saw can have a great idea on how things used to look around the parks.
