LaughingPlace.Com reports the following:

Brit rocker Robbie Williams makes big waves with the end title track "Beyond the Sea" (taken from his 2001 release, "Swing When You're Winning") for "Finding Nemo," a Walt Disney Pictures presentation of Pixar Animation Studios' new animated underwater adventure. Robbie Williams has racked up a string of hits around the globe and has sold over 27 million records worldwide. Williams' latest effort, the highly anticipated CD "Escapology," was released in the United States in April 2003.

The following was also added:

Additional music for "Finding Nemo" is scored by Grammy(R) winner and Oscar(R)-nominated composer Thomas Newman, whose credits include "Road to Perdition," "American Beauty," "The Shawshank Redemption," "The Player" and the Title Theme to the HBO series "Six Feet Under."

The "Finding Nemo Original Motion Picture Soundtrack" is scheduled for release on May 20, 2003 on Walt Disney Records. Disney/Pixar's "Finding Nemo" opens in theatres nationwide on May 30, 2003.

God no!

It was bad enough that they changed the soundtrack for 'Lilo and stitch' to ruin it by having Gareth Gates butcher an Elvis track. :brick:

This is just going to be another bad cover of a good song by a bad british artist.

And Robbie Williams is about as 'rock' as my bathroom sponge.

Not to be disagreeable, but I like Robbie Williams. Boy-band punk made good!

He's not a rocker, but he does have a great voice. And that video he did with Nicole Kidman!! :D

OMG! thomas newman doing the music!!! thats like... the best!!!

i loved the american beauty and erin brochovich soundtrack, it has such a unique style and sound that you know its newman's fantastic work! cant wait now...

as for Robbie, he's produced some good music. i like his new single "come undone" but i wouldn't class him as rock. more like pop/rock.

angels?

Is Robbie Williams the one that sings that Angels song? If so, that's a beautiful song. I think he could pull of a good soundtrack song.

Sorry I didn't mean he wrote it like it may sound....what I meant to say is this isn't a Disney soundtrack song and all that he could screw up. and I downloaded it and it's good.

His entire 'Swing when you're winning' album was a load of covers of old swing songs.

It may not be a disney song he's ruining, but a classic.

I think Robbie Williams version of 'Beyond the Sea' is perfect for what seems like Finding Nemo is going to be. The perfect fun, big band, swingin song for the end of a big, fun movie. I think it's gonna be great, and this news has led me to look at some more of Robbie's music, and I think it's not that bad.
