We'll be driving to Disneyworld from Texas and are wondering about road conditions on I-10 because of Hurricane Katrina. Are all bridges open or do we have to take any detours?

Hi..I live in Metairie,La..and we went to Disney World in april and all of the roads were open...no detours or problems at all....there is always some traffic in pensacola by the bridge that got Damaged in Charley..I think..but thats because of construction..but it was not that bad and there were no problems after that.Have A Great Trip!

There is a tunnel in Mobile, Alabama that causes traffic to consolidate and back-up depending on the time of day you are traveling. Further, the Escambia Bay Bridge (just east of Pensacola) is also 1 lane due to the effects of Hurricane Ivan (I believe in 2004). This will certainly back-up if you are traveling through Pensacola during any daylight hours. These should be the only major issues. Of course, traveling through Baton Rouge during rush hour is certain no picnic.

Happy and Safe travels. :animwink:
