As I posted on Facebook tonight - The name of my Facebook newsfeed tonight should be called gene wilder dot com - hundreds of posts from hundreds of people - and I'm okay with that. Glad I know so many people who were moved by the warmth, humanity and humor of this amazing genius. The world is a little less funny tonight, but with the legions that Gene touched, I don't think we have anything to worry about. Thank you, Gene, for inspiring the music makers and the dreamers of dreams.

I don;t know what I feel about afterlife, but one can only hope that he is with Gilda again......

I knew people outside of the internet that suffered Alzheimer's and that is a terrible disease to suffer from to put it mildly.

Gene Wilder was a great actor in all the movies I saw him in.

When my younger brother and I were growing up, our parents introduced us to some movies including 3 from Gene Wilder back in the 1980's and 1990's. My Younger brother and I saw Blazing Saddles, Wily Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Young Frankenstein. I always liked Gene's version of the Wily Wonka Character over Johnny Depp's version.

The great actor Gene Wilder passed away Sunday evening from complications due to Alzheimers. :(

This was terrible! Disney should've used him in more roles!

"There's no knowing where we're rowing
Or which way the river's flowing
Is it raining, is it snowing
Is a hurricane a-blowing

Not a speck of light is showing
So the danger must be growing
Are the fires of Hell a-glowing?
Is the grisly reaper mowing?

Yes, the danger must be growing
For the rowers keep on rowing!
And they're certainly not showing
Any signs that they are slowing!"
