I wasn't aware that he was battling cancer either! Truly a sad day!

I heard on the morning news about his passing at 69, after a battle with cancer. Very sad news. He was an outstanding musician. (My favorite song was Space Oddity.) It was announced that he had just released a new album few days ago. May he RIP.

When I saw the notification saying he passed on my phone this morning I spent a few minutes trying to remember who the other famous David Bowie was because there was no way THAT David Bowie could be dead yet.

The man honestly seemed immortal and I had no clue he was ill for so long.

Growing up in the UK in the 70s Bowie was a big part of the music world I was exposed to. Heroes is my all time favourite single, he certainly set the stage for those that followed.

Been a crappy few months for losing rock musicians whos work I admired, and all quite suddenly, Chris Squire, Philthy "animal" Taylor & Lemmy from Motorhead, now Bowie.
