Rides

My daughter is 4 and she is exactly 41" now. Our trip is in April so she may grow a little more. My question is about ride restrictions. She is completely fearless when it comes to roller coasters. She rides all the rides at the fair.I know there is a rider switch thing that we can do if she can't ride I'm just concerned that she will feel left out because we let her ride everything in other situations. Has anyone else been told their child can not ride because of height even if they are with an adult?

Absolutely. The height restriction on a ride is not a supervision or an age thing. In many cases it is a minimum height required for the restraint system to properly work. If your child does not meet the minimum height posted on an attraction they will not be able to ride.

yes, they are VERY strict with height rules. true safety concerns as well as lawyers lurking in the wings.
i can understand that you don't want her to feel left out, so maybe this trip you guys don't get to do the cool rides. we sadly gave it up when the kids started coming.
however, now that we have one old enough to go on bigger rides and 2 not there yet......we don't tell them the big one is doing something cool....we just take them to an age appropriate ride and don't let on. (big kid is big enough to understand not to blab and hurt brother's feelings). maybe one of you guys can take the little one to age (or height as the case may be for you) appropriate ride and not tell her that you are taking turns on the big kid rides.

Yes I agree completly do something special just for her when she can't ride a "big kid" ride maybe with a little growth and sneakers with a thicker sole she'll make it. Best wishes for a growth spurt!
