rides that need a makeover?

hi everyone dunno if this has been done already but here goes:

which rides/shows from the 4 main theme parks do you think need a makeover/ a new idea.

here is what i think:

MGM: the backlot tour, drew carrey sounds dangerous,star tours, the voyage of the little mermaid, the great movie ride.

MAGIC KINGDOM: splash mountain,pirates of the carribbean, the indy speedway, peter pan.

EPCOT: figments journey, ride in norway.

ANIMAL KINGDOM: the kali river rapids (needs more dips and more water getting people wet).

I agree about the river rapids. It gets boring. And out of the whole raft my friend and I were soaked and everyone else was bone dry. Not fair. Everyone should get wet.
I think MGM just needs more attractions in general. The newest version of tower of terror is awesome!
Magic kingdom:Splash mountain needs some help and the boats made us smell like wet dog. pirates of the carribean could be more thrilling. If they made it like an underground flume how cool would that be?
I'll be going to epcott for the first time this summer.

Magic Kingdom:

Splash, Space, HM, Timekeeper, CoP

Epcot:

SE, UoE, JiyI, they need to add attractions into the world showcase to better distrubute the crowds

Disney-MGM Studios:

GMR, ST, MuppetVision, Backlot tour, millionare, sounds dangerous

Animal Kingdom:

KRR(not long enough)

River Country:

do somthing before it rots to the ground!

MK: Haunted Mansion: Been stuck on that ride more times than I can count.
Space Mountain: It isn't fair that DL got their overhaul first.
Timekeeper: Just do something!! Fix it up or replace it.
Indy Speedway: Let the kids drive!!
Tomorrowland Transit Authority: Add some more little window thingys.
Jungle Cruise: It's 2005. I know this ride can do better.
Big Thunder Mountain: Am I the only person that thinks this ride could be more?
Buzz Lightyear: Just unmount the guns.
Pirates: Throw in that Jack Sparrow animatronic we've been hearing about.

Epcot: Living Seas: Bring back the Seacabs!
Wonders of Life: I don't understand what's going on here...
Universe of Energy: Overhaul
Spaceship Earth: I love it as is, but the idea of a new ride excites me.

MGM: Great Movie Ride: Just some animatronic work in my opinion.
Backlot Tour: It seems to get shorter and shorter.
Drew Carey Sounds Dangerous: Replaced
Who Wants to be a Millionaire: Replaced
Star Tours: Updated to include more well-known characters.

AK: A new ride! I know Everest is coming, but it's long overdue anyways!!! AK needs more rides. Period.
Beastly Kingdom: This is what I was most excited about when I first read about Animal Kingdom in Since The World Began. Mythical animals are cool.

Blizzard Beach: A new slide. Typhoon Lagoon got one, and we wouldn't want BB to feel left out!

Magic Kingdom

Haunted Mansion- I know it is meant to be dirty, but it is just now rundown. The speakers are shot to heck, last time I rode I could barely hear the Ghost Host, it stopped several times and animatronics weren't functioning properly. I love this ride and would hate for it to be down, but it really needs a rehab. Haunted Mansion Holiday would be excellent:xmas:

Space Mountain- The original now is very outdated. Needs to be brought back to today's standard. California clone would be alright. Bring back SpaceMountainTV!! Queueing now isn't as interesting.

Stitch's Great Escape- Need I say more?

Timekeeper- Timekeeper or something new...No meet and greets!

Diamond Horseshoe Meet and Greet- Anything but that...

Pirates- DL's Pirates is alot better...Put it up to that standard...or change it into a kickass flume ride like they are doing for Hong Kong! A thrill ride is what Adventureland needs...it's like a ghost town often and the Magic Carpets definately didn't help

Epcot

Universe of Energy- Epcot needs one more family friendly ride and it should be on the thrill ride side of the park. Keep the educational aspect but make it shorter and more fun. Heck, even use the space left over for a fun postshow ala Imageworks

Wonders of Life- If it isn't even opening for Summer, the pavilion's fate is clear. Demolish into a Weather pavilion with Stormrider, Aquatopia and some sort of weather film.

Maelstrom- Very tame and could be made much better. Anyone who's been on Valhalla in the UK knows how good a Viking flume can be!

Disney (MGM) Studios

Sounds Dangerous- Take this out and use the combined space of it and the former Doug Live theater to make a good theater show like Anamagique

Millionaire- Take this out and use the combined space of it and Backstage Pass to make a dark ride about early cartoons, perhaps as an extension of the Animation building

Backlot Tour- Put actual movie sets in, or scrap it and put in a Matterhorn like they were planning for MGM Studios, where inside the park you could inside it like a half-completed set and outside it looked completed.

Animal Kingdom

Dinorama- Scrap except Primeval Whirl which gets rethemed to go through more realistic enviroments like a forest and an actual (simulated) dinosaur skeleton head instead of the obviously fake one. Rebuild the rest of the area as a educational dark ride about different periods of the dinosaurs.

Kali Rapids- Fun but not fun enough. Add more forest scenes and drops and less gentle flowing.

The Great Movie Ride. I love this ride so much but there's only so many times you can see the same thing. They need some updated movies.

I think Spaceship Earth definately needs a makeover, or at least a touch-up. It is one of my favorite rides, but the ride system makes such a clanking noice that it is hard to fully enjoy the ride. Also, the continual stoppages are annoying.

MK: haunted mansion- justs needs a touchup really.
space mountain- very jerky and pretty short after a long wait.
spalsh mountain -just needs to refurbished.

EPCOT:UoE-could probably get gutted and redone into anything else.
body wars- needs to be redone, something that can draw people to that pavilion.


MGM:indy stunt show- i'd like to see the indy ride instead.
millionaire- is completely dated, needs to be anything else.
star wars- just needs to be updated
backlot-there is so much room back there, anything could there.

AK:not too many choices. i'd say it justs needs more rides in the park.

Imagine Splash Mountain, in the dark (all of it, even the drop), like Space Mountain. I think this Dark Flume would be an excellent "Villans" ride.

Magic Kingdom:

Carousel of Progress: The is the number one attraction that is need of more help than Haunted Mansion or Pirates.

I would tie Haunted Mansion and Pirates for both a nice refurb.

Space Mountain: I love that we have the original with all the nostalgia factor, I'm all for enhacning it, but please don't gut it and make the track different. Need a new post show and sponsor.

Enchanted Tiki Room: Would be so great to improve it to the original with a barker bird..."come to the tiki room FLY to the tiki room"

EPCOT:

SSE=nice good rehab with a new Earth Station

Imagination=A new restyling that can tell a 21st century classy story and presentation of what the original was like. Needs imageworks and new movie.

Too many circlevision films LOL.

MGM:

Great Movie Ride, I dunno just more enhancement.

Backlot Tour, either improve it or get rid of it.

Star Tours, w/e.

Animal Kingdom: I dunno

I vote for the Haunted Mansion.
I'd love to see the floating Madame Leota effect installed at WDW like at Disneyland. Plus a little TLC all around!!

I definatly think quite a few rides could be updated given the advances in technology today. The ones I would tackle first would be:

Space Mountain
Stitch's Great Escape
C of Progress
Haunted Mansion

Wonder's of Life (Love the idea someone had for a weather themed attraction)
Universe of Energy....I like Bill Nye the Science Guy...but this gets old pretty quick.
Journey into Imagination....wasn't much imagination used when this got it's most recent remake.

Indiana Jones...Original Movie was relased in what (78???) enough said. There must be at least 1 or 2 newer movies that Disney could consider to replace this with.
Star Tours - This ride has so much potential....hopefully George Lukas will look into a revamp.

I agree...this is actually a great ride to sit and watch and to cool down on a Hott Flordia day, however it needs to be updated badly. They have tried at the very end, but in my opinion it sucks. I like this ride and would hate to lose it.

Well, the original Star Wars was released in '77. But I suppose the recent movies give it more possibilities for a great update. But aren't they making Indiana Jones 4???
