Was just wondering, what is the exact position of the guys who maintain and repair the rides and shows. I'm currently a controls technician working on building automation system that use electric and pneumatic controls. What type of education does Disney look for and what would one expect to make in a yearly salary? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They technically are part of the "Engineering" department. Technicians at Disney are more like Stage Hands and production assistants (for instance, I was an Entertainment Technician and I did the production on shows, pyrotechnics, etc). I'd say probably follow some path in electrical or mechanical engineering (just a guess - didn't really work with these guys much).
