Return to Neverland

I just saw it yesterday, this was its first weekend here in Brazil. And I have to say, I liked it very very much. It's a wonderful homage to the original, I believe Walt would be proud. Yes, the animaton is not the best, and those mixes of tradiontal with computer animation just don't work (in my opinion). But the story works just fine, and its message hits us in a perfect time, a time of war just like in the movie. You go out of the theater with that feeling of faith, trust and pixie dust... Me and my girlfriend agreed that it's more of a girl's movie, since Jane is the star (she's like Peter in skirts). But I only have two bad things to say about the movie: they shouldn't have replaced Tick-Tock with that octopus, and

SPOILER WARNING

they shouldn't have sunk the Jolly Rogers at the end.

END SPOILER

Other than that, I'm definately buying the DVD when it comes out!! :sohappy:
Also, it had a Pluto cartoon before it! How cool is that???

I really liked the movie and I didn't think i was going too...very true to the original, and it wrapped up all the loose ends.

I took my kids to see Ice Age one day and RTN the next. RTN was the hands down winner with all of us! The "don't let him see you cry" line was our favourite!

Seriously, that's the kind of thing that wouldn't affect my decision to watch a movie. I watched both, liked them both, will probably buy both DVDs. BUT RtN has a certain (Disney) feeling that Ice Age lacks, even though I was not 100% happy with it.

Re:

This was the second best sequel ever! :-D
Or maybe its just me, I am such a Peter Pan nut, I own bedroom fulls of merchandise with Peter PAn posters covering every inch of my wall and ceiling, and since I am such a fan, I had to create my own website, PeterPanFan.com LOL!

Though in all honesty, it is in the upper-class of Disney sequels.
1) Toy Story 2
2) Return to Neverland
3) Fantasia 2000
4) Lion King 2: Simba's Pride
5) The Return of Jafar

Personnaly, I'd have put Lady & the Tramp II in front of, at least, Jafar and Simba. But that's just me, I LOVE L & T!
