Retirement Celebration Help!!

I'll be traveling to WDW later this month to celebrate my Birthday, and my parents' retirement.

I've got a few surprises already planned for them (custom cake for our dining reservation and flower/balloon arrangement), but I am struggling to find other things to surprise them with.

I would prefer to book something (tours, rentals, etc.) that won't take up the whole day and won't break the bank.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!!

You could take them on the Characters in Flight balloon ride in Disney Springs. Thats fun and not overly costly.
We've rented a fireworks cruise in Bay lake, somewhat costly but it was fun and an enjoyable event. Done in the evening so it doesn't take away your time in the parks.
Strolling around DS in the evening provides you with a lot of entertaining performers to enjoy without cost.
Horse pulled carriage rides at PORS isn't overly costly, can also be done later in the day. Nice leisurely ride along the river. Also fun evening entertainment is available at PORS that doesn't cost except for the drinks you might purchase.

Thanks for your suggestions!

I was thinking about doing a fireworks cruise - still on the fence about that one. As an alternative, I was thinking about setting up a picnic at Poly's beach to watch the fireworks. I thought that once upon a time guests were able to order a picnic from some of the resorts, but it looks like they no longer offer this.

We love the Illuminations cruise! We took my retiree age parents on it and they loved it too.

If you have room in your schedule for another ADR you could also consider a meal with an imagineer or an animal specialist.

Thanks, those are good suggestions! I'm leaning more toward a Wishes Cruise, as I have the best secret spot for watching Illuminations (so I don't think a cruise there would be worth it)!
