Restaurants at EPCOT

My friend got me a free 4 night stay at the Peabody Hotel, and those of you who know about this hotel, know that its a very nice hotel. I was thinking about taking her and her friends to lunch, my treat, when we go to EPCOT. She has been to just about every place at epcot besides the Garden Grill. I think it would be nice to eat at the Garden Grill, but I dont know much about it. Can someone tell me what type of food they serve and what the interior of the restaurant is like? Thanks so much!:D :)

It is a circular restaurant that rotates very slowly. The food is served family style. Fried catfish, Roast Pork, Salad,Grilled Flank Steak, bread, Carrots, Mashed Potatoes and Apple Cobbler with Vanilla ice cream for dessert. And of course your drinks. We ate here before the Candlelight Processional one night. We really enjoyed it.

If this is a romantic dinner you are looking for, no good. Bright lights & lots of noisy kids... not that there's anything wrong with that if you don't want quiet adult time.

I ate there on the first night of my most recent trip and found it quite good. The wait staff was excellent ad the food , which supposedly comes straight from The Land boatrides different agricultural habitats is awesome . However the atmosphere isnt much . just the rear of the land boat ride exhibits and some murals . Overall it was a great place to go and plan out an itinerary for the rest of the week.

Meega, nala kwishta!
We just got back from our trip last week.

We did GG for lunch one day. We liked it alot. Almost as much as Liberty Tree tavern @ MK.

I surprised the wife with the re-hitching cerimony, so we got a cake instead of the other deserts. Great cake too. Only thing is that they give what you can't eat in a box to go.

What the heck am I to do with a cake in 89 degree weather at Disney if you're not hungry. We took it back to the resort, but it went into the trash the next moring. We had a late dinner that night, and were just not hungry before we turned in. So without a fridge, there really wasn't any point in keeping it.

LOL! You made me laugh with this one! I can picture you two walking out of The Land with you doggy bag all around Future World and to the exit to be able to take the freakin´cake to the hotel!

Sorry... I just hate carrying the doggy bag... :animwink: If we have one, it´s not me who picks it up from the table! :animwink:

Just back from The World and I miss it already. We love LeCellier in Canada, great steak, a little pricey but well worth each and every cent. We also love the food in Morrocco, Italy, China...... you really can't go wrong with any of the countries. If you are going soon you will get to try the Wine & Food Festival. We left the day before it started and are actually thinking of trying to get there for the last week, it ends in November. :)

It worked out nicely for me tho. We had just finished the Hidden Treasures tour, then did lunch. We had a carrage ride scheduled in a few hours, then dinner at Artists Point later that night with a friend who lives near Orlando. So we went back to 1) drop off the cake  , and 2) take a nap from all the walking on the tour, plus it was very hot that day.

We didn't even get a bag, it was in a box! But yea, we were walking throug future wolrd with this cake, both of knowing we'd be dumping it in the trash most likely.

Hmm, I wonder what it would have been like if we did Body Wars first an accedently let the cake out of the box.... :animwink:
