Restaurant for Illuminations

We are going on our Honeymoon to Disney in August. We were planning on doing the illuminations dessert party for "dinner" one night, but since they are changing it to a Frozen dessert party we decided to do something else. I was wondering if any of you have a suggestion for a restaurant (preferably table service) to eat at that would allow us to see Illuminations from our table. Thanks for your help!!

try getting an outdoor seat at the rose & crown. we didn't stay there long enough for the show, but would've had a good view if we did.

I agree that your best chance of a table with a view is Spice Road. Try for an ADR at 730-7:45 and try to linger between courses. Any later and you'll end up with one of the tables with no view.

At Rose & Crown, there are great patio tables, but they're hard to get, and the CM's usually won't allow you to wait until one opens up. But they also have a SRO viewing area, so if you have an inside table, you can go out to this viewing area to watch Illuminations.

What about La Hacienda de San Angel? I have heard you can there, but never done, I was hoping for some locations as well for our trip in November

I don't even think you need to linger. It was pouring rain when we were there and they were not pushy or anything at all. The service there is more laid back in style giving you time to eat and not rushing you out anyway. I truly appreciated that.

I do agree don't try for too much later because you likely wouldn't get a great view.

To add the pistachio and saffron custard was soooo goood. So save room for dessert if you can :D

La Hacienda de San Angel offers some great views of IllumiNations. The restaurant is indoors but the large windows allow most seats in the restaurant to see. They dim the lights and pipe in the music. Book your reservation before the fireworks to be sure you get seated before they start.

Thank you, that is was I was hoping to hear.

What would your opinions be on THE BEST place to eat and watch Illuminations, hands down?

We've gone to La Hacienda twice, and are going again in November. My wife and son love fireworks, but hate the sound. La Hacienda pipes in the music, but blocks all/most of the fireworks sound so it works out really great for us. The food is really good. The first two times we went, it was fairly new and very quiet considering you could get a great view of Illuminations.

Either the Rose & Crown or Spice Road Table, seated outside. Being able to hear the explosions of the fireworks is just as important as the sound track, at least for me.
