Resorts

We didn't stay at the movies, but at the music resort. They are set up the same but the decor is different. These are very kid friendly. They have food courts instead of restaurants, which the kids seem to really like since there is such a wide variety (pizza, burgers, chicken, ect.) and it is all foods that kids love. Don't worry, there is plenty for the adults too:)

The decor is huge which is fun for them. The rooms aren't special for adults but again I think kids would like it. generally they care less. But the rooms have star sconces above the head of the bed, the bedspreads are really colorful, and the TV boasts disney favorites all day.

The pools are themed as well. Not to the extent that the moderate or deluxe resorts are. They do not have water slides but they have water spouting periodically.

You will share a bus with the other all-star resorts so be prepared to be crammed in everyday. Depending on what time of year you go, you should tweek your schedule to allow for the fact that if it is a crowded time of year you may want to get to the stop early or you may have to wait for another bus to come around. It realy depends on where the Allstar movies stop is in regards to the other stops (1st,2nd,3rd). Don't worry, it likely won't be this difficult, just wanted to give you a heads up in case.

Have a great trip, Your son will love it!

A quick note -- make sure you call the reservations office and let them know that you'd like to stay in a Toy Story-related section of the resort. They will not be able to GUARANTEE that you'll get a room there, but they'll try their best. Remind them again when you check in.

We've stayed at ASMo twice now. The Toy Story section is great. My daughter had fun running inbetween the big blocks and going into Andy's room. A giant Buzz, Woody, RC and others. I think your son will get a big kick out of it.

We've stayed at all but 3 Disney resorts, and enjoyed ASM. Keep in mind that it is a large resort with lots of buildings filled with guests . . . so, if you don't like crowds or serve-yourself type venues (the food court), you may not care for it. We're pretty flexible, and found the resort quite fun, as I believe your son will . . . kids just love playing around the large movie icons (Woody, Buzz, etc.). The main pool is Sorcerer Mickey with the large brooms and shooting water . . . great fun!Enjoy! :sohappy:
