We didn't stay at the movies, but at the music resort. They are set up the same but the decor is different. These are very kid friendly. They have food courts instead of restaurants, which the kids seem to really like since there is such a wide variety (pizza, burgers, chicken, ect.) and it is all foods that kids love. Don't worry, there is plenty for the adults too
The decor is huge which is fun for them. The rooms aren't special for adults but again I think kids would like it. generally they care less. But the rooms have star sconces above the head of the bed, the bedspreads are really colorful, and the TV boasts disney favorites all day.
The pools are themed as well. Not to the extent that the moderate or deluxe resorts are. They do not have water slides but they have water spouting periodically.
You will share a bus with the other all-star resorts so be prepared to be crammed in everyday. Depending on what time of year you go, you should tweek your schedule to allow for the fact that if it is a crowded time of year you may want to get to the stop early or you may have to wait for another bus to come around. It realy depends on where the Allstar movies stop is in regards to the other stops (1st,2nd,3rd). Don't worry, it likely won't be this difficult, just wanted to give you a heads up in case.
Have a great trip, Your son will love it!
