Resorts & Holiday Decorations

Hello, looking for opinions!
We have a trip planned for the first week in December and we are hoping to visit a few resorts to see their holiday decorations. Would you recommend visiting the resorts on the Magic Kingdom monorail loop or walking to the Beach Club & Boardwalk? We have a daughter who will be almost 4. Thanks!

With all the construction at the Polynesian, I am not sure what type of display they will have this year. The Grand Floridian gingerbread house is definitely worth seeing. Beach Club (Possibly Yacht) has a chocolate carousel which is pretty cool as well. You can probably see both areas if you just go out your way to/from MK and then to/from EPCOT. Or schedule a meal in one of the resorts so you can take in the decorations while you are there.

The Poly doesn't do a lot, neither does the Contemp, other than the huge wreath on the Tower, and the tree in front. Grand Floridian does the gingerbread house and great decor.

The Epcot resort area has the huge tree at the Dolphin, Dancing Lights between the Swan and Dolphin, trees and gingerbread houses at the BoardWalk and Yacht/Beach. So Epcot Resort area gets my vote.

Hmm all great info! Thanks! So to further complicate things, we are not getting park hoppers and our resort day right now is scheduled with the day we are going HS at night to see the Osbourne lights. So, what's the best way to get to the Epcot area resorts using Disney transportation without actually going into Epcot?
Also, we thought my daughter might like riding the monorail but I've never done it before. Does it stop at any of the Epcot area resorts?

I'd say it depends on where you were going to be that day. Both are nice, GF has the awesome gingerbread house, but the Epcot resorts have nice displays as well. Personally I'd toss WL or AKL onto that list, but I'm biased.

Getting to the Epcot resorts really depends on where you are coming from. You could (potentially) take the bus from your resort to MK, then do the resort monorail loop, then at MK take a bus to any of the Epcot resorts. Then walk around that loop, and walk over to DHS (or take the boat) to see the lights. Alternately, from your resort take bus to MK, do MK monorail loop, then take boat to WL, then take bus to DHS, walk to BW & do Epcot resort loop and then walk back to DHS. Plenty of options, depends on how much time you want to spend and how many resorts you want to see.

We are staying at Pop, sorry I should have mentioned that. Our plan for this day is going to be based on how our 4 year old is doing :) This is our mid week "down day" so it's going to depend on how she's doing & how much running around she can handle. And actually, I have one more question, if we wanted to throw in a quick service lunch or early dinner at one if the deluxe resorts, which are the best?
Thanks for all the tips!

Quick service at most of the deluxe resorts is an after thought. Boardwalk has the bakery and pizza window, Yacht/Beach is mostly grab & go except for the burgers/fries at Hurricane Hannah's, Poly & GF aren't bad, Contemporary is pretty good. I'd stick WL or AKL on top of any of those hands down.

You could take the boat from DHS to the resorts if you are already there.

the monorail does not stop at Epcot resorts
