Hi everyone, planning a trip for may for myself and two friends, looking for a resort with 3 beds so we can all have our own. Been thinking about the Dolphin, but would of course prefer one a little more affordable. Any ideas? would love to hear anyones past experiences! Thanks all

If one of you is small, there's a bench that turns into a small bed in some of the Moderate resorts (Alligator Bayou rooms at Riverside and they've been installing them at Caribbean Beach). I don't think it's quite as large as a twin bed, though.

There are family suites, though those actually only have one real bed and a bunch of Murphy/sofa convertible beds. Plus, it'd be cheaper to get two Value rooms than a single family suite.

Otherwise you'll either have to share beds, bring an air mattress, or go for a more expensive resort.

You're right on target, the convertible beds are fine for the small but adults might likely have issues. 63" x 30"

Howdy!
I stayed at All-Star Music once with 5 friends and we had three beds...we paid for a regular room but then were upgraded to a suite. We had one queen (I believe) bed and then a pull out couch and another little pullout bed that was made when you folded open the ottoman in the living room.
It was a great trip!

I'd suggest going to a moderate resort -- in one room -- and either having two people share a bed (get an extra set of sheets and make up each half of the bed separately, if they're fanatical about not touching), or else bring a twin-sized air mattress that someone can use on the floor. I realize that the moderates are more expensive than a value, but it will be worth it for several reasons: (1) larger room size, meaning it's easier to accommodate an air mattress on the floor and there's more elbow room for everyone; (2) queen beds instead of double like the value resorts, meaning it's easier for two people to share a bed without crowding one another, if that's what you opt to do; (3) double sinks instead of one like the values, which will make it more convenient for three people to be getting ready in the morning simultaneously; (4) curtains or doors around the sink area, for another measure of privacy; and (5) an in-room coffeemaker, in the event that anyone in your party would like a cup of joe in the morning that they don't have to run out and pay for. All of the moderates offer these amenities, and I don't believe any of the values (outside of the AoA family suites, etc.) do. If you're also looking for short walks to transportation, I'd urge you to consider Port Orleans French Quarter, which has a geographical footprint far smaller than any of the other moderate resorts (Port Orleans Riverside, Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach). Also, if there's a shopper in the group, both Port Orleans resorts offer a convenient boat launch to Disney Springs (f/k/a Downtown Disney).
