just wondering if wdw offers any special tours of their resorts. we are going in march and staying on property for the first time-we are staying at the all star movies- would like to check the more expensive resorts out to see if wed rather spend extra to stay there next time.

Though it wasn't an official "tour" we asked a guest relations cast member at the Contemporary to show us around, becaase we were staying there in a year. He brought us around the hotel and even into some of the rooms so that we could check out whether we wanted an MK or Bay Lake view. (We opted for MK) Anyway, he was very nice, and when my dad tried to slip him a tip, he wouldn't accept it. Now that's Disney service at its best! :sohappy:

i remember reading that there are tours of the Animal Kingdom lodge that discuss the artwork, decor, and architecture of the building.

Resort Tours

We always do hotel hopping as part of our trips. You really don't need official tours of resorts. Just get on the bus and do it. Check out everything and ask questions. Most of the hotels that offer offical tours are not enhancing your visit they are factional tours about how, why and when they were built - not if you would enjoy staying there. It is especially nice to hotel hop at the holidays and check out all of the decorations.
