Sorry @MR FERRET ...I just had to ask this question due to you thinking about switching from CSR to PORS..Has anybody decided to leave their beloved resort and try another and regret their decision.:arghh:..Now I can understand moving from a value to a moderate or from a moderate to a deluxe, but I'am looking for anyone who has went from one value to another,or from one moderate to another, likewise with deluxe resorts..

In hindsight, Rosie's Backcountry Fishin' Lodge and Discount Bait Emporium was not the best choice we ever made. Skeeters big as turkeys.

I enjoying trying different resorts. I have enjoyed staying all I have stayed at. I do have some that I have liked better than others but I don't regret trying them.
I think that is key...it is so much fun trying new places...we are going to try them all...or at least that is the plan. May take awhile but I can't imagine staying at the same place every time. Only repeat we have done so far is Wilderness Lodge.

We have repeated a few, like Caribbean Beach and Pop Century. We do like Pop a lot but the repeats there are usually due to our budget. I know I could try the All Star, but those values kind of scare me, I hear about all the tour groups that stay there. Someday we will stay there, maybe.:)

I thought this thread was going to be about switching resorts DURING a visit. It would be interesting to hear if anyone's done that and regretted it.

Regretting switching from GF to POR mid-trip (due to budget). Not because the step-down was so pronounced (even though it was), but because POR was a huge let-down. Bus service was atrocious, and walking a mile and a half from check-in to my room with suitcases was not a magical experience. In hindsight, would have switched to Pop.

Even though we were very unhappy with the resort we stayed at on our previous trip, we like to try new places...so it's not like we have any true loyalties to one resort where we'd regret a change. I look back on the last trip and wish we'd stayed somewhere else- which is unfortunate b/c it feels like $ wasted, but we tried something new- which I don't regret.

We need time for things to happen.
We usually stay at one of the po resorts with an occasional jaunt to a deluxe, however last year we tried cbr and I regretted it pretty quickly.

My line of thinking too!

I enjoy switching resorts, just to try new places, see new rooms with new views. Inevitably, sometimes you will end up at a place you like less than the one you left. But hey, that is offet by the pleasure of having tried a new place!
