Ok I switched our stay (1/20 - 1/23) from AoA Little Mermaid regular room to AS Sports Preferred room so that we could get the Play stay and dine deal. We really need to save the money. We won't spend much time in the room - the pool is important. Was this a good choice? We have stayed POP our last 2 trips and loved it there but couldn't get the deal there either.

We like POP too but, couldn't get either the Play, Stay, & Dine or the Military discount for there! We decided to go with the Military discount for POFQ. Anyway, we stayed at Sports in May of 15'. I was pleasantly surprised by it. We had a preferred room in the Surf's Up section. It was close to the pool, main building & bus stops. When the All Stars share bus service Sports is the 1st pick-up & drop-off. I also, thought it was cool that you were walking on a "boardwalk", not just a sidewalk.

We stayed in Sports in February for my daughter's cheer competition. My kids loved it. We were in building 10 in the Touchdown section. We were steps from the main building and pool. I do enjoy the food court better at Pop though. There is a better variety.

We've stayed at pop, the little mermaid rooms at AoA, and at sports in a preferred room. Of all of them I liked the little mermaid rooms the least. The room itself was fine. Exactly the same size as pop and sports but it was sooooo far away from the main pool, food court, and the buses. We were near the little mermaid quiet pool but it was just like the other typical quiet pools at the other resorts. I felt like I paid extra to walk a lot further to get to the food court, main pool, and buses. On top of that we were in the King Triton section on the parking lot side of the building opposite from the little mermaid pool. This was where the maids staged their work day from each morning. The trams pulled up honked and started banging unloading all of their carts before 9 am every morning...noisiest stay for us ever. For me, unless you have someone who is an absolute little mermaid fan save the money and stay at sports. We've stayed in the surfs up section of sports a half dozen times it's right on top of the pool, food court, and bus pick up. We enjoyed our stays here every time no complaints.
