Resort Monorail Hours?

Does anyone know if monorail service is actually stopping an hour past park close(8PM) as is normally advertised? I'm hoping its a bit longer for dining/shopping purposes. When the MK closing time changes to 6PM, a 7PM close for the monorail seems awfully early.

Yes the monorail actually stops at 8 pm. I was there the last week of July.

That was when MK closed at 7:00. It closes at 6:00 beginning September 8. So, it's a reasonable question. Does the monorail also close an hour earlier or does it still close at 8:00?

From WDW Website:

The Walt Disney World Monorail System operates from 30 minutes prior to earliest park opening until one hour after latest park closing.

So one could infer that the resort monorail does indeed close at 7pm 9/8 forward.
