Resort Hopping?

We are going to be in WDW the end of JAN :sohappy: :sohappy: We are going to be resort hopping for the first time. We currently are planned to stay three nights at AK Concierge and the 5 nights at PO Riverside. REALLY Looking at that plan we've pretty much decided to fly in a day early and stay at a value resort the first night as we fly in from Portland OR and will not get in until late. If I'm going to spend $350 a night for concierge I'd like to be able to enjoy it. :animwink:

The question we have is how hard is it to move our stuff from Resort to Resort? Should we rent a car? Will Disney send our bags the new resort?

Thanks,

Just let them know when you are checking that you will be moving. They will arrange to move your bags for you, just be aware they may not show yo till later in the day. Take everything with you that you'll need.

I've never resort hopped so I'm not sure of the bus transportation, but I'm sure sombody else (hopefully one of our transportation CMs) will chime in. You could take a taxi, they really aren't that expensive to travel from resort to resort. Enjoy your trip.

I'm glad someone else is asking this Question because we were talking about it except we will be trying to plan for about 18 to 19 people to resort hop between the Polyneision and on of the All-stars.

A few years ago, we had to resort hop because Disney goofed and didn't give us a handicapped accessible room (even though it said accessible on their books)...anyway, we wound up hopping 3 times in 5 days and Disney was really quite accomodating for us. They transported our luggage and if I'm remebering correctly, they transported my future in-laws as well - the rest of us opted to take the bus/monorail/boat, etc. It was a pain in the neck, but not as much of a pain as it could have been if we had to lug all our stuff on our own.

wow, I remember a long time ago we stayed at the Yacht and Beach Club when it first opened. and My dad hated it there. He really wanted to be back at the Polyneisan so he caled concierge and asked if there was anythgin they could do to get us a room there. they said "a dream is a wish you're heart makes. IT'll be no problem!"
we went to the parks and all of our luggage was waiting for us at our Poly room

Disney will move your belongings. I have clients who do this all the time. Just have bell services pick up the bags in the morning and they will transfer them to the next resort.

Disnut if you need help with your reservations, planning , etc. Contact me. I offer free itinerary planning which includes setting up your meals. I will make your life a lot easier with such a large group.
