Resort Hopping with Magic Bands

I'm doing an unexpected (but welcome) business trip to WDW next week and have a question. This is my first Magic Band experience. I have a resort reservation for the business trip and a few extra days on my own at another resort. My park ticket covers my entire stay.

My question is, will they be able to split my park hopper ticket in half and put a few days on my Magic Band for GF and a few days on my Magic Band for CSR? I'm hoping I don't have to carry around 2 MB's while staying at CSR - one to unlock my door and the other to get into the parks.

TIA

No, your band will be fine for your entire stay! You might get a second MB when you switch to your second resort, but you will be able to use either one if u end up with 2.

As long as you create a My Disney Experience Account and link both the reservations to it before you check out of the first one then you will be done. If not, you'll have to use two bands.

I do have a MDE account and all if my reservations are linked but there are 2 bands on it. Perhaps I shouldn't have customized both.

I was thinking for separate resorts I would need separate bands. I'll speak to them at check in and hopefully they can offer the best solution.

At this point in the MB phase is it still recommended (or even possible) to get a KTTW card as well? I'm cynically expecting issues since I now have multiple bands.

IT should all be linked but if you find that one band works at one resort but won't at the next, all they have to do is add it to the other resort reservation but from personal experience, all the guest who have come from one resort to another, their MB show up and work fine.

Excellent. Thank you so much. Hoping this trip goes off well. I usually really enjoy the planning process but I am in the middle of moving (just bought a house) and my boss asks me, "Do you want to do a training program in Walt Disney World? We will pay your expenses." What else am I going to say! It's been a rushed trip planning process but I'm happy to leave behind the Canadian weather. :D
