Resort Help

Hello everyone!

Long time reader and first time poster here. Let me start by saying that this is a great website and community :sohappy: !

My family will be staying in POR for two weeks in June, and I have a few questions I would be grateful if someone could answer.
<O:p
1) We will be buying a 14-day park ticket from here in the UK as they work out cheaper. We did this last year whilst staying off-site. Is it possible to “assign” these tickets to our resort ID cards rather than carrying both the ID cards and tickets?
<O:p
2) We have two rooms booked at POR under the same reservation. Should it be possible to have separate room charging privileges on each? This would mean I could pay for my own room bill, whilst other family members can pay for theirs.
<O:p
3) I was reading another post on the forums which mentioned you can pay for your room charges in cash at the front desk of your resort. Given this, I assume it is possible to drop by half way through your stay and pay the balance? This is just as a means of monitoring my own spending.
<O:p
Wow, that turned in to quite a list of questions :) . I have visited the world many times, but this is the first time for many years that I have stayed on site.

Thanks for your help.

Welcome!

We always have our park passes put on our room keys as thats what you get with a WDW package, not sure if you can get them though... there are many UK members who will be able to help you with that one. Just let them know at the desk that you want room _____ to be charged to _____ credit card and that should do it. We travelled with another family, but we made all the arrangements and thats what we did.

You can stop by any time to pay off your charges at the desk. Having charging privilages on your room key is a great help. We let our oldest have that and she can take her sister to get something to eat or pick up stuff at a shop and we don't have to worry about them needing cash.

Have agreat trip!

paying in cash

I know you can pay in cash we have stayed at por 3 times for 2 weeks and arranged to pay balance in full after the first week . The last time we asked to pay in cash during our stay and they put a $1000.00 limit on our room card each time we got to the limit we would go up to the front desk and pay off the balance. We perferred the pay after the first week ,that way you knew when you need to pay .With the limit you had to keep track of your spending

Thanks for your help.

1. You won't be able to combine your tickets to your room, sorry! :)

2. Yes it is entirely possible to have seperate accounts for each person. You can even block some cards (eg: kids or teens that might not be able to handle the responsibility)

3. You can put down the cash at the begining of your trip without a credit card - or you can put down a card but pay cash later in the trip so your card doesn't get charged. (I recommend this b/c disney will place a hold on your funds if you put it on a credit card - this can be a pain when trying to track your spendings online)

Lastly, enjoy staying onsite - you'll be hooked!

That just about clears up my main questions for this trip. Really looking forward to staying on-site.

Thanks everyone for the very quick responses.
