Good Morning Folks..This is probably a daft question,( well I am the mad one on here ) But is it only value & moderate resorts that have food courts..I have noticed when I look at deluxe resorts restaurants,I never see a food court.o.O..If this is correct, how do you refill your refillable mug.?..Maybe it's too early in the morning, but it was my DW whom asked me this question, and it kinda puzzled myself..?P.S...I put this under Resort questions rather than Restaurant questions, feel free to move moderator..Cheers.;)

This is one of the big reasons we have never really been excited about booking a deluxe. We find ourselves at the food court at least once a day it seems while on vacation. Loved the Riverside Mill last time around.

Me too..PORS is my favourite resort,it has everything that I could possibly ask for,and more.Especially the food court..I filmed us going in for breakfast last year in July..Apart from the CM's,we were the only folk in the entire restaurant, but it was 6.45am.;)

We weren't quite able to find our way up that early. DD and I made it there around 9:30 one day. Absolutely packed. The 2 of us were wandering around just trying to find a seat, and then the wee parade came through. I really wasn't in the mood for that, what with no coffee, and all. Maybe if I had my caffeine jolt, I would have joined.

IMO AKL has the best food court option for a Deluxe- The Mara can be hard to find for 1st timers (it's by the pool) but there are actually tables to eat your food. Boardwalk is the worst. There is no where really in the resort to get quick food (you can get pre-packaged in the shops), instead you have to go outside to the really small pizza shop- it had very long lines in the morning for breakfast.

We should make a deal. If I promise to make a rope drop, just once, you have to promise to witness a good night kiss from the castle one night.
You mean you've never ever, ever never, never made a rope drop. Not even once..Yes! I have put the good night kiss on my list, tho it should be a lot easier as I'am planning to go in October and MK closes much earlier..;)

Been to CBR, ASMovies and PORS and used the food courts at all. Visited others during stays but not used the quick service locations at deluxe resorts. PORS was very good - we ate there early morning (by 7.00am) or late evening - and have been only people in there at times, as per @real mad hatter. Used POFQ for food last time too - and we are booked to stay there in October 2104. ;)

I think everyone should do at least one rope drop and good night kiss - have done a few, sometimes on the same day - that's tiring, but we did go to MK for rope drop, stayed till mid afternoon, back to PORS for a snooze and then did good night kiss. Also did rope drop at AK on the same day as doing MNSSHP - now that was hard as we didn't leave MK til way after midnight! Admittedly didn't do much the next day!!!!!:D

I think being on Disney property is an endurance booster for us. We make rope drop, power through the hours and then close it down every day we're at a park. Compared to some days when we're at home: What do you wanna do today? I dunno, what do you wanna do? And then we do a whole lot of nothing. :geek:
