Resort Courtesy Phone

I have a 10 am Alamo car reserved at the Disney Car Care Center on the day of my
arrival. I anticipate not having access to my room that early and I don't carry a cell phone
(I know, I know - I hear about it from friends all the time - pile on If you must).

My question is, can I use the resort white courtesy phone to contact the Car Care Center to
arrange a shuttle pickup?

If you'll have access to a phone the day before, and know what time you'll be at the hotel ready for pickup, you can call the Alamo desk and schedule your shuttle pickup time then. (I've actually been in the middle of Epcot and called on my cell phone to book the shuttle for the next morning) Look for the phone number in the confirmation email from Alamo.

Front Desk and Concierge can help, as mentioned above, but you could also use the house phone that you were talking about. Dial 0 to get the Disney operator and ask them to transfer you. (The WDW Switchboard, which is 0 on a hotel phone or 407-824-2222 on any other phone, can transfer you to any location on WDW property)
